Accounting Manager

This position is heavily focused on month end close and ensuring the books and records are completed timely and accurately across our diverse portfolio of exhibitions in the live entertainment industry, which span globally. The ideal candidate must be detail oriented and have a deep understanding of GAAP.
Responsibilities:
Oversee month-end close, timeline, and processes.
Support a team of 3 direct reports performing daily accounting operations.
Approve all journal entries in a timely manner.
Review/Approve account reconciliations in close management software.
Ownership of the close management software (task lists, reconciliations, etc.)
Support sales tax reporting for multiple jurisdictions.
Assist with creating/maintaining multiple partner settlements.
Participate in monthly P&L review.
Provide outstanding support to all departments.
Create and update procedures as needed (and during software implementation).
Support audits.
Perform ad-hoc reporting and additional duties as assigned.
Required Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
CPA certification or candidate preferred.
Must have a strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Experience with Floqast desired.
Experience with NetSuite required.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently without frequent direct supervision.
Must be able to work remotely.
Must be detail-oriented, accurate, and organized.
Must be able to meet deadlines in accordance with a ten-day close.
Must be able to prioritize, multi-task, and work under stressful situations.
