The Director of Marketing Communications & Brand Management is the official storyteller for the organization, communicating in words, pictures, videos and graphics. They are also the primary lead in telling the stories and representing Imagine’s business interests with our licensed IP holders. They lead a team that supports the Promoter team, who is responsible for the overall Marketing Strategy. This person has a strong background in and passion for selling tickets, and both understands and thrives in the fast paced nature of the business. The successful candidate must be able to work well with a wide variety of people, juggle multiple projects simultaneously, and be an outstanding communicator.
This leader will be supported by the content team including a Director of Digital Marketing, Marketing Operations and Content Specialist and will have dotted line management of the Marketing Coordinator. This includes two freelance designers managed by the Marketing Operations & Content Specialist. The Director will be responsible for all PR initiatives for the company, developing press kits and co- managing (with Promoters) local PR agencies. They will also directly manage the pitching for Imagine corporate PR initiatives, including drafting and pitching releases and feature stories, drafting speaking remarks or talking points for company spokespersons, and managing any Crisis Communications that arise.
The Director will be the primary voice in communicating with our licensors representing the business interests of Imagine. This is highly relationship-driven, with a strong focus on collaborating with the promoter team to secure business-critical approvals for success across multiple markets. This role is also a crucial connection to Imagine’s CEO for his perspective and approval. This includes all visual assets, press materials and sponsor and partnership elements. The director will oversee the marketing coordinator to ensure timely creation and submission of all approval documents into the Licensee partner databases (ie. StarLabs for WB).
The Director will oversee a Director of Digital Marketing Director and Marketing Operations and Content Specialist managing the website, email mail marketing, GDPR compliance, social media platforms and all other marketing Tech Stack platforms. The director will lead the digital director to evaluate efficiencies and ROI for all projects ensuring that all efforts and investments are ultimately driving ticket sales. This includes operationally as well as from a content perspective with specific goals around growing follower counts, web traffic, database sizes, as well as ensuring the growth metrics also correlate to increased ticket sales. The director will also oversee and grow the team's ability to optimize UX on both our owned websites as well as those of our ticketing partners, to ease ticket purchase paths for our customers. While the largest percentage of time supports Harry Potter: The Exhibition, this also includes support of Imagine’s B2B business vis a vis Business Development and Sales teams and other projects like Titanic: The Exhibition and projects in Vegas.
The Director reports directly to the VP of Marketing and Communications but will need to maintain strong communication lines to both the Promoter team as well as the CEO.

Lead and support Imagine's content efforts and various agencies to create and optimize collateral, email campaigns, videos, and social media content, ensuring alignment with brand goals and driving customer engagement.
Manage marketing communications, brand positioning, for Harry Potter™: The Exhibition and other IP-based or Imagine-owned properties, collaborating with partners like Warner Bros. Discovery.
Develop and implement multi-channel marketing strategies, including web, SEO/SEM, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns.
Measure and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns to inform data-driven decisions and improve results and guide ongoing strategy improvements.
Partner with cross-functional domestic and international teams to ensure alignment and success in launching global touring campaigns.
Oversee brand management by maintaining and updating brand guidelines, toolkits, and materials to ensure consistency across all partners and marketing strategies.
Provide project updates to stakeholders and ensure all marketing materials and communications meet quality and brand standards.
Oversee and execute comprehensive PR strategies, including developing press kits, managing corporate communications, and co-managing local PR agencies in collaboration with Promoters.
Support promoters and local agencies on PR management, including submission and approval processes with Warner Bros., the CEO, and other key stakeholders.
Lead corporate PR efforts by drafting and pitching press releases and feature stories, preparing speaking materials for company spokespersons, and managing crisis communications.
Organize and manage creative efforts, including photo shoots, press photos, and content approval workflows.
Identify and implement tools, resources, and SOPs to enhance project efficiency and team alignment.
Maintain active professional profiles on social platforms like LinkedIn and Meta to drive industry engagement and support work-related initiatives.
Create and deliver effective brand immersion materials for promoters and agencies to align on responsibilities, approval processes, and deadlines.
Review comprehensive crisis management and communications plans to craft timely and clear messaging for internal and external stakeholders, overseeing real-time communication during incidents.
Vereiste competenties:
15+ years of marketing management experience with strong business acumen.
Proven leadership experience, including developing talent and leading CRM, data-driven marketing, and analytics strategies.
Excellent Proofreading Skills
Skilled in traditional, digital, social media, and experiential marketing.
Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
Excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
High initiative, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a can-do attitude.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite, Dropbox, Slack, and collaboration platforms; experience with Smartsheet and StarLabs is a plus.
Strong team player with the ability to build relationships and work independently.
Experience in public relations, strategic brand marketing, and cultural institutions, entertainment, or hospitality industries.
Flexible and adaptable to working across multiple time zones, including international.
Resourceful with excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Sense of humor, passion, and enthusiasm for the role, with a knack for sharing the perfect meme at the right moment.
